Worth knowing: Most Stena Line discount codes apply to specific routes and fare types only — typically Economy fares on a named route. If the discount doesn't appear, the code may not be valid for your selected crossing, fare type or departure date. Codes also exclude cabins, Stena Plus Lounge access, meals, pets and port taxes. They cannot be combined with Tesco Clubcard Partner codes or other ongoing promotions.
Yes. Companies and sole traders can join Stena Line Business Traveller for free, and within 24 hours you'll unlock a 10% discount across all fare types, pre-booked cabins and Superfast suites. From there, your discount can grow based on annual spend:
- 10% off once you join and spend £1,000 a year
- 12.5% off once you spend £3,000 or more
- 15% off once you spend £6,000 or more
Keep in mind your tier isn't locked in permanently. If you don't hit the spending threshold for your current level within a rolling 12 month period, you'll be moved down to a lower tier, and if your spend falls below £1,000 altogether, Stena Line may close your membership entirely.
One thing to note: Stena MORE points can't be earned on Business Traveller fares, though you can still pick up points through onboard purchases.

- Economy fares are the cheapest but come with no refunds if you cancel, though you can still make free changes to names, contact details or your licence plate.
- Flexi fares allow free amendments, plus a 50% refund if you cancel up to 2 hours before departure, rising to a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead.
- Premium fares are the most flexible, with a full refund available up to 2 hours before departure.

Use the low fare calendar
When you search for your route and dates, click Show Low Fare Calendar before hitting search. It’s a genuinely useful tool if you’re flexible on timing, since it shows fares across the whole month rather than just your chosen date. The layout isn’t as clean as a standard fare search, but it’s worth the extra click if it means landing on a cheaper sailing.

- Kids go free: discount codes letting children or students travel for free
- Caravan and motorhome discounts: save up to 50% travelling with a caravan to Ireland or Britain, caravans go free to Holland, and there are undisclosed savings on motorhome travel to Ireland or Holland
- 25% off short breaks of 28 hours or less, with return prices for a car and driver from £177
- 20% off Holland short breaks of up to five days

One thing worth knowing: if you click through to an offer with a code attached, such as kids go free or the Holland short break discount, it’s applied automatically rather than needing to be entered manually.
Tesco Clubcard points
If you collect Tesco Clubcard points, converting them into a voucher through the Reward Partner scheme doubles their value. Stena Line accepts up to £105 of Clubcard voucher value on single journeys, or £210 on return bookings.
Two things to note: the Belfast to Liverpool route isn’t included in this promotion, and you can only use one Clubcard code per online booking.
Bundle travel with Coach & Sail or Rail & Sail
Most people don’t live right next to a port, so Stena Line offers coach and rail transfers straight from your city centre. Booking the transfer alongside your ferry crossing directly through Stena Line usually works out cheaper than arranging your ferry and transfer separately.

Pet policy
Dogs are welcome on board across all Stena Line routes, but they need to be pre-booked and are restricted to specific areas, such as vehicles, kennels or pet-friendly cabins. Restrictions can vary by route, so it’s worth checking before you book, and cabins with pet access tend to sell out quickly, so we’d recommend booking well in advance.
Outside of the vehicle, kennel or cabin, dogs must be kept on a lead and muzzled.
