How to save money at Samsung

Trade in your old device, it’s the biggest saving available

Trade-in values on Samsung’s own site consistently run higher than third-party trade-in sites for Samsung devices. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra at launch, trade-in values reached up to £794 depending on model and condition. Even damaged or non-Samsung phones have some trade-in value. If you’re upgrading, checking the trade-in value on samsung.com before you buy anywhere else is the single most effective thing you can do.

Join Samsung Rewards for points on every purchase

Samsung Rewards is free to join and earns you back a percentage of every purchase on samsung.com in points. Blue tier earns 1% back, Gold tier earns 3% and Platinum earns 5%. Points can be used to pay for up to 99% of a future purchase, and the effective cashback rate is one of the stronger ones among electronics retailers. One practical note: Rewards points cannot be applied when using a trade-in discount or when buying through the Student Shop or Upgrade Programme, something the Samsung site doesn’t make prominently clear.

Use appliance bundles for automatic discounts

If you’re buying more than one home appliance, Samsung automatically applies a bundle discount at checkout: 15% off two appliances, 20% off three or more. No code needed. This applies to combinations across washing machines, dishwashers, fridges and more, and it stacks on top of individual product pricing.

Sign up to the newsletter for a birthday discount

Samsung sends registered newsletter subscribers a 15% off birthday voucher every year, usable both on samsung.com and in Samsung Experience Stores. Not a guaranteed saving, as you need to have signed up and have a Samsung account, but it’s worth doing if you’re planning a purchase and your birthday is approaching.

Time purchases around Galaxy Unpacked

Galaxy Unpacked events are Samsung’s most promotional moments. Pre-ordering directly after the announcement typically unlocks free storage upgrades (for example, getting 512GB storage at the 256GB price), bundled accessories and exclusive online colourways. The S series Unpacked is typically in February, the Z series Unpacked in July. Deals are usually strongest in the first few days after announcement and before general availability begins.

Claim cashback on selected TVs and appliances

Samsung periodically runs cashback promotions on TVs, soundbars and home appliances, sometimes worth hundreds of pounds. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of purchase via the dedicated Samsung cashback site and are paid within 45 days. Maximum 4 claims per household. These promotions run independently from discount codes and can be genuinely significant on higher-value purchases.

Use the Samsung Shop App for extra codes

The Samsung Shop App occasionally offers app-exclusive codes not available on the desktop site, including an extra 5% off on orders over £500. Worth downloading and checking before any larger purchase.

Use the Price Promise within 7 days of buying

If you buy from samsung.com and find the identical product cheaper in stock at a selected UK retailer within 7 days, Samsung will refund the difference. One claim per product model, maximum 4 per household per year. The comparison must be against a standard retail price, not one reduced by a competitor’s voucher code, loyalty scheme or bundle offer.

Why buy from Samsung?

Samsung is the world’s largest consumer electronics manufacturer by revenue, covering smartphones, tablets, TVs, monitors, laptops, wearables and home appliances. Buying directly from samsung.com has specific advantages worth knowing about.

The Galaxy S26 series, what’s new for 2026. Announced at Galaxy Unpacked on 25 February 2026 and on sale from 11 March, the S26 range introduces several meaningful upgrades. The Galaxy S26 Ultra (from £1,279) now features Privacy Display, a world first that makes the screen appear dark when viewed from the side, protecting sensitive content in public. Its primary camera widens to an f/1.4 aperture, and a new Super Fast Charging 3.0 system charges to 75% in 30 minutes with a 60W adapter. The Galaxy S26 (from £879) and S26+ run the Exynos 2600 processor and share the camera system with the Ultra on the standard and telephoto lenses. All three launch with One UI 8.5 and carry a 7-year software update guarantee, meaning Samsung commits to Android OS and security updates through 2033, longer than most competitors.

Samsung Care+ for peace of mind on hardware. Available at checkout or within 60 days of purchase via the Samsung Members app, Samsung Care+ covers unlimited accidental damage repairs using genuine Samsung parts, plus 24/7 expert support. For expensive phones and tablets it’s worth considering, particularly the unlimited repair aspect added in 2026.

Samsung Upgrade Programme for spreading the cost. Samsung’s own finance option lets you pay monthly over 24 months and upgrade to a new device after 12 months. It’s the most flexible way to stay current with the latest Galaxy hardware without the full upfront cost, though note that Upgrade Programme purchases don’t earn Rewards points.

The broadest range under one account. Because Samsung Rewards points and Credits work across phones, tablets, TVs, monitors, wearables and appliances on samsung.com, long-term Samsung customers effectively build up credit that can be redirected across any category. That cross-category flexibility is unusual among major electronics brands.
