One code at a time. Dunelm doesn't allow code stacking, and most codes exclude gift cards and Creation Credit purchases. If you have a welcome code and a birthday code, check which gives you more on your specific basket.
You have 28 days from receiving your item to return it. Small items, anything under 15kg or within 120cm in every direction, can be returned free in store, or you can arrange a collection or drop off a parcel yourself, covering postage.
Furniture and large items fall outside these limits and need to be arranged via live chat or a contact form, with fees varying by item.
Ways to Save at Dunelm
Understanding Dunelm sales
Dunelm runs several sales at once, and they’re not all in the same place. Head to the offers and savings section of the site to find clearance stock, special buys and the returns outlet, each covering a different type of discount.
Offers and clearance sales
Offers and clearance are effectively the same sale split across two spots in the navigation, both sitting under the offers and savings dropdown, so it’s worth checking both to avoid missing anything. Discounts here go up to 75% off, and stock changes regularly across furniture, lighting and soft furnishings. It’s a good spot to catch reduced rugs, cushions and curtains, along with seasonal buys like blackout curtains as the weather turns.
Dunelm special buys
Special buys are limited stock products that Dunelm has specially negotiated with suppliers, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. The categories that come up most often here are home decor, utility products and dining, making it worth a regular check if you’re furnishing a dining table or restocking everyday essentials.
Returns outlet
The returns outlet is where you’ll find furniture, beds and mattresses or lighting reduced by up to 30%. These are items that were delivered to a customer and then returned. Before anything goes back on sale, the Dunelm team inspects it to make sure it’s still in perfect condition.
Sign up to the newsletter
Signing up keeps you ahead of new product launches and upcoming sales, and you’ll also get exclusive email only promotions, such as 10% off your next order or free delivery on orders over £10.
There’s an added incentive too. Every three months, one newsletter subscriber wins a £250 Dunelm gift card. If you’re picked, you have four weeks to claim it, and the card itself must be used within 24 months.
Dunelm birthday discount
Create a Dunelm account, or add your date of birth to an existing one, and you’ll receive a 10% discount code around your birthday.
Timing matters here. Add your birthday at least seven days beforehand, or you’ll miss out until the following year. You’ll also need an active account with at least one purchase in the last 12 months for the discount to land.
Visit the Dunelm promotions page
It sounds like standard small print, but the promotions terms and conditions page is worth a look. It lists every active and recently ended promotion, giving you a clear picture of what’s currently available. Past examples have included newsletter member deals, product review gift cards, free kids’ meals or hot drinks, and discounts only available in store.
Helpful Information
Dunelm delivery policy
Standard delivery is free on orders over £60 for small items, or £3.95 if you’re under that threshold. Need it faster? Express delivery is £5.95, again for small items only.
Furniture and other large items are delivered by a two person team, straight to the room of your choice, up to the second floor, for £12.95. Selected large items and furniture qualify for free delivery once your order reaches £600.
Click & Collect is always free at Dunelm, and orders are often ready to pick up within two hours.
Interest free credit
Dunelm offers a few ways to spread the cost. Pay in 3 or Pay in 30 days with Klarna on orders between £20 and £2,000. If you’d rather use PayPal, Pay in 3 is available on orders between £20 and £3,000. For bigger purchases, Creation Consumer Finance offers 12 months at 0% APR on orders over £300, useful if you’re furnishing or re-designing a whole room.
Get inspiration with Dunelm
Beyond the product catalogue, Dunelm’s new and inspiration section is worth a browse. Seasonal edits cover autumn, Halloween and Christmas, whether you’re after autumn toned bedding, Halloween lighting or Christmas scented candles.
It’s also where you’ll find Dunelm’s trending designer collaborations. Fans of colourful, retro patterns should look out for the Yinka Ilori collection, one of the more distinctive ranges Dunelm carries.
