The B&Q returns policy is one of the longest in the sector

B&Q gives you 90 days to return purchases; one of the more generous windows in home improvement retail. Items must be unused and in their original condition, with a receipt, order confirmation or sales invoice. Returns to any B&Q store are free. A few exceptions worth knowing before you buy:

• Made-to-measure or cut-to-size items (timber cut to length, bespoke worktops, made-to-measure blinds) can’t be returned unless faulty.
• Perishables like plants and turf have no change-of-mind return.
• If you’re buying from a product labelled ‘Sold and shipped by [Seller Name]’ — a third-party verified seller — the returns process is separate: contact the seller directly, not B&Q. These products can’t be exchanged in-store.
