Yes, but it is always on the same 3 memberships: senior, young person and family memberships.
The National Trust senior membership concession for 25% off is available to anyone aged over 60, who has been a member for at least 3 consecutive years. Young people aged 18 to 25 save 50% on an individual membership; priced at only £50.40 per year. Lastly, a family membership costs only £8.40 more than an individual or joint membership.
The main membership types are as follows, all paid annually or by monthly Direct Debit:
- Individual membership (age 26+) costs £100.80 a year or £8.40 a month. A Young Person membership (age 18-25) costs £50.40 a year or £4.20 a month.
- Joint membership for two adults at the same address is £160 a year or £14 a month.
- Family memberships with two adults at the same address, plus all children or grandchildren under 18, costs £176.40 a year or £14.70 a month. A single parent or guardian only pays £109.20 a year or £9.10 a month.
- Junior membership for children under 17 is £12 a year.
No, but members with a disability qualify for a National Trust essential companion pass. This allows one or two carers to accompany you free of charge.

Yes, National Trust is one of the founding members of the International National Trusts Organisation (INTO). Your membership grants you discounted rates or even free entry into over 1,000 heritage properties in over a dozen of countries worldwide. Learn more here about your international benefits.
The National Trust is Europe’s largest conservation charity, caring for over 500 historic houses, gardens, coastlines, and countryside sites across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Founded in 1895, it relies on membership subscriptions, online shop orders and holiday bookings to fund their work. Here’s what to know before you join or book:
- National Trust memberships come with free entry to 500+ places and free parking at most National Trust car parks.
- New members who pay by annual Direct Debit receive a free guest pass.
- All children under 17 are covered by family memberships and children under 5 are always free.
- Look for last-minute holidays starting within 14 days to get 25% off.
How to Save at National Trust
Save with membership offers
If you’re a senior, aged 18 to 25, or have a family with children over the age of 5, you can take advantage of National Trust membership offers. As previously mentioned, all three groups have discounted pricing. Please note, there are no National Trust voucher codes for memberships. If a voucher site is promoting one, they are lying.
Seniors get 25% off with the senior concession, young people save 50% compared to the individual membership and families only pay £8.40 more annually than an individual (compared to one family membership) or joint (compared to a two family membership).
Pay via annual Direct Debit to receive the guest pass
All new members who pay via annual Direct Debit get a single-use guest pass, which allows them to bring a friend or family member for free. The £10 gift card promotion has now ended for new memberships.
One caveat is that annual Direct Debit memberships automatically renew. You will need to call or email National Trust if you do not want to extend your membership.
National Trust holiday savings
There are a number of ways you can save on a National Trust holiday. Our favourite is the National Trust promo code for 25% off last-minute holidays. You must book within 14 days of the booking.
If you prefer to plan your holiday more, you can currently get 10% off selected apartment bookings or 15% off barns and stables stays. Those who really plan in advance can get 30% off stays of 10 or more nights. Although, the 30% discount only applies to off-peak bookings.
First order discount
New customers can enjoy 10% off the online shop with a National Trust discount code. The shop carries a range of homeware, gardening products, gifts, food, and clothing, much of it in a National Trust-branded or licensed range that is not available elsewhere. Orders over £60 also qualify for free delivery.

National Trust explorer passes
Anyone planning visits to multiple parks over a short period might not benefit from an annual membership, but they would with an explorer pass. Available in 4, 8 or 14-day windows, you can get an explorer pass for as little as £31.50. This pass allows you entrance into most National Trust parks, exclusions can be found here, and includes free parking.
