LEGOLAND WIndsor FAQs

How to save money at LEGOLAND Windsor

Book online in advance

The single most important thing you can do is avoid buying on the gate. Advance online prices start from around £34 per person, compared to up to £68 on the day. The earlier you book, the cheaper tickets tend to be. Off-peak dates in September and October can be particularly good value for families with preschool children.

Guaranteed entry is also a practical reason to book ahead, as the park does reach capacity on peak dates.

Use the National Rail 2-for-1 offer

This is one of the best-value routes into LEGOLAND Windsor year-round. Buy any valid National Rail ticket — even a cheap single fare — register on the Days Out Guide website and you’ll generate a 2-for-1 code to use when booking tickets on the LEGOLAND site.

Two important caveats: you must print your tickets rather than show them on a phone, and you must present a physical train ticket dated for the same day at the park entrance. Electronic barriers sometimes retain singles, so ask a member of staff at a manned gate to help you through.

Convert Tesco Clubcard points for double value

Tesco Clubcard points can be converted into Merlin or LEGOLAND attraction vouchers, and the boost typically gives you twice the face value — meaning £5 of points becomes £10 of vouchers. This applies to LEGOLAND Windsor tickets as well as other Merlin attractions. If you collect Clubcard points regularly, it’s one of the easiest ways to meaningfully reduce the cost of a visit.

Use the Kellogg’s 25% off promotion (valid until June 2026)

Selected Kellogg’s cereal and snack packs carry codes for 25% off up to two LEGOLAND Windsor tickets. The promotion is valid until 30 June 2026 — worth checking on packs before your next supermarket shop if a visit is on the cards.

Stay overnight for a free second day

Book one of the on-site LEGOLAND hotels — the Resort Hotel, Castle Hotel or Woodland Village — on selected dates between 19 April and 30 September 2026, and everyone in your booking gets a free second day in the park. Short break packages including accommodation and two-day entry start from £74 per person. Hotel guests also get Early Park Access, which is the closest thing to a queue-skipping advantage available without buying an additional Fast Track.

Sign up to the newsletter for £20 off a short break

LEGOLAND Windsor sends a £20 discount code for short breaks to new email subscribers. If you’re considering an overnight stay, signing up before booking is an easy saving.

Consider the Merlin Annual Pass for repeat visits

Two visits to LEGOLAND Windsor at advance online prices will typically cost more than the annual pass during a sale period. If you’re planning to go twice in the year or will use the other included attractions, the Merlin Annual Pass is worth calculating seriously.

Note that passholders must pre-book tickets before visiting and the pass is not valid on certain peak dates (including bank holidays and some school holiday dates) without buying a £15 upgrade. Check the exclusions calendar on the Merlin site before committing.

Take advantage of the Twice the Fun offer

LEGOLAND Windsor’s Twice the Fun ticket lets you visit a second Merlin theme park for free, which includse Alton Towers, Thorpe Park or Chessington World of Adventures, on a separate day. Both visits must be made by the same guests under the same booking name, and both parks must be pre-booked. Check the current dates and terms on the LEGOLAND site as availability is seasonal.

Why visit LEGOLAND Windsor?

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort opened in March 1996 — making 2026 its 30th anniversary, celebrated throughout the year with new shows, character appearances and a reportedly giant 8-foot LEGO birthday cake. It’s the most popular dedicated children’s theme park in the UK and is best suited to families with children aged roughly 3 to 12, with rides and attractions designed specifically for that age range.

Minifigure Speedway — a genuine world first. The resort’s newest major coaster is the world’s first LEGO-themed duelling rollercoaster that races both forwards and backwards. It’s the headline attraction for older children and genuinely unusual in the theme park world.

LEGO MYTHICA — immersive storytelling for younger visitors. The MYTHICA land brings LEGO creatures to life in a fantasy-themed area with rides and interactive experiences pitched at a younger audience, complementing the thrill-focused Minifigure Speedway for mixed-age groups.

Seasonal events worth planning around. LEGOLAND Windsor runs a series of named seasonal events that transform the park beyond a standard day visit: LEGO Festival runs 20 July to 31 August 2026, Brick or Treat in October, and LEGOLAND at Christmas reopens the park for the festive season. These events are included in standard admission but are exclusion days for most annual passholders without an upgrade ticket.

On-site hotels for a themed overnight stay. The LEGOLAND Resort Hotel, Castle Hotel and Woodland Village are LEGO-themed accommodation options a few minutes’ walk from the park entrance. Staying on-site unlocks Early Park Access, the free second day offer (on selected dates) and included breakfast on short break packages — worth factoring into the total cost comparison against a standard day visit.
