How to Save Money at Chessington

Book in advance and during off-peak periods

Save over 50% on tickets at Chessington with prices starting from just £32. However, tickets during peak periods, such as summer holidays and weekends can easily jump to £40 or £50 per person. That’s why we also recommend being flexible in booking to save as much as possible, such as weekdays during term time.

Consider the right ticket for you

There are more savings to be had than the standard 50% off advance online bookings at Chessington. Students get an extra 30% off, adults and pre-schoolers can get tickets for £29 (£5 cheaper than an individual day ticket) and groups of as few as 10 people can get tickets from £26.

The group discount is easy to reach with two or three families visiting together, and it works out to an extra £8 off per person.

Get an annual pass

The Chessington annual pass is only £64 per year. That pays for itself after just two visits, which makes it an easy decision for people who frequent Chessington.

Fans of amusement parks can opt for a Merlin pass to get access to all Merlin attractions, including LEGOLAND, Alton Towers and Warwick Castle. Prices start from £139, though, so it’s a biger jump. Here’s what you can get:

Essential (£139) Gold (£239) Platinum (£299)
Entry days 339 days 364 days No exclusion dates
Attractions 20+ Merlin attractions 20+ Merlin attractions 20+ Merlin attractions

Strong new attractions

Not only did the World of PAW Patrol open in May of 2026, Minecraft World has been confirmed for 2027. It is said to be a fully immersive Minecraft-inspired theme with a roller coaster, interactive adventures, blockbuilt playscapes and themed retail & dining.

Parent swap passes

Every family member should get the most out of their Chessington trip. With the Parent Swap Pass, that’s possible even with little ones. One adult queues for the ride while the other watches the kids; a staff member marks the pass, and the second adult can then go straight through the Fastrack queue. No more missing out on rides because one parent’s stuck with the children, or losing valuable time waiting for both parents to ride in turn.

Unforgettable hotels

Rooms at the Azteca & Safari resort hotels are one of a kind. For themed stays, nothing beats the PAW Patrol or Gruffalo rooms for young children, while a number of safari rooms, such as the Tiger Room, let you view animals on the Wanyana Reserve right from your window.

Both on-site hotels offer early ride time, starting 30 minutes before the park opens to the general public. On popular rides like Vampire and Mandrill Mayhem, that head start can mean the difference between a 10-minute queue and a 90-minute one.

Short breaks at Chessington come with perks — free breakfast, free parking, and early park entry — but there aren’t any discount codes to stack on top. The best way to save is simply booking in advance or visiting during off-peak periods, unless you’re a Merlin Gold or Platinum member, in which case you can get up to 15% off short breaks.
