How to save money at adidas

Join adiClub — it earns more than you’d expect

adiClub is adidas’s free loyalty programme and it goes well beyond a standard points scheme. You earn 10 points per £1 spent, but also points for writing reviews, logging workouts in the adidas Running and Training apps, and attending running events. Those points unlock adidas promo codes (typically 15-30% off), exclusive products available to members only, partner subscriptions including Spotify and Strava, event tickets, and the ability to enter limited-drop raffles through the CONFIRMED app.

The four tiers work on an annual basis:

  • Level 1: Free delivery, early access to sales, CONFIRMED app drop access, members-only products
  • Level 2: Birthday discount code, member discounts, 3-month adidas Running app premium
  • Level 3: Priority customer service, priority access to drops
  • Level 4: Exclusive event invitations, signed athlete merchandise, premium experiences

If you’re an existing adidas shopper, signing up is a straightforward upgrade to what you’re already doing.

Shop the Outlet for up to 50% off

The adidas Outlet is where serious savings live. Past-season trainers, sportswear and accessories regularly hit 50% off, and stock turns over frequently so it’s worth checking back often. The one catch is that discount codes cannot be applied on top, but given how sharp the outlet prices already are, that’s rarely an issue.

Use the student discount strategically

The standard 15% student discount via UNiDAYS is available year-round, but the bigger opportunity is timing purchases around Freshers Week and similar peak periods when it jumps to 25% or more. If you’re a student with a big purchase in mind — a quality pair of running shoes or a full kit — waiting for those windows pays off. The discount applies to full-price items, so pairing it with a mid-season sale where some full-price items have already dropped can stretch the saving further.

Sign up to the newsletter for 10% off your first order

New to adidas? Signing up to the newsletter gets you 10% off your first order. A straightforward saving that stacks with any welcome or seasonal offers available at the time.

Watch for sales around key dates

adidas runs significant sale events throughout the year. The biggest are Black Friday, Boxing Day and the January sale, but bank holiday weekends regularly see price drops across trainers, sportswear and accessories too. If there’s something specific you want at full price, it’s often worth waiting a few weeks around these dates before committing.

Why shop with adidas?

Founded in Germany in 1949 by Adi Dassler, adidas has grown into one of the world’s most recognisable sports brands. The three stripes appear on everything from elite performance kit to some of the most sought-after trainers in streetwear. A few things stand out for UK shoppers.

The range goes further than most people realise. Beyond the Sambas and Gazelles that dominate feeds right now, adidas covers serious performance equipment across running, football, basketball, tennis, hiking and swimming. The TERREX range for outdoor and trail running is particularly strong. If you’re shopping for sport rather than style, the depth is there.

CONFIRMED app for limited and hype releases. Access to adidas’s most coveted drops, including collaborations, limited colourways and regional exclusives, goes through the CONFIRMED app. adiClub members from Level 1 upward get priority access, which makes the loyalty programme especially valuable if you’re chasing anything limited.

Earn points by working out, not just spending. Log a run in the adidas Running app and you earn points. Complete a training session and earn points. Your membership progresses faster if you actually use adidas products as intended, which is a more interesting loyalty mechanic than straight spend-to-earn.

Sustainability built into the product range. adidas has been integrating recycled materials across its range for several years, with the Parley collection using ocean plastic waste in footwear and apparel. It’s not a small side range as recycled materials now feature across a significant portion of their output.
